Founded in 1897, Juventus Football Club, colloquially known as Juve, is an Italian soccer club based in Turin, Italy. The club has famously worn a black and white striped jersey since 1903 when the club was famously gifted a kit by English side, Notts County. In 1985, Juventus became the first club in the world to win all available international trophies in one season. Juventus are now the most successful club in Italy, having won the most league titles, Coppa Italia titles and Supercoppa Italiana titles. All the club’s records have been achieved under the Agnelli family’s ownership, a record itself of over 96 years and counting, it is the longest active ownership of a professional sport entity in the world.
Juventus plays its home games at the Allianz Stadium, built on the site of their former stadium Stadio delle Alpi, in the Vallette borough of Turin. The stadium has a capacity of over 41,000. The club’s fan base is the largest in Italy (approx. 34% of Italian soccer fans) and one of the largest worldwide, with a global reach of more than 100 million fans in Europe and over 440 million worldwide. Some of the greatest soccer player in history past and present have worn the iconic black and white stripes including Platini, Baggio, Zidane, Del Piero, Nedved, Pirlo, Buffon, Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Training Facilities
The Juventus Training Center, known as Vinovo, is located 14km south-west of Turin and is spread over a total of 162,900 square meters. The center consists of a total of 14 playing fields, including one with a 400-seater grandstand, reserved for Juventus Women and Juventus youth matches. The main facility consists of a swimming pool, physiotherapy center, gym, soccer-tennis court and 7 locker rooms. There is also a hotel on site to house teams along with meeting rooms and press conference area.
